This Saturday, we'll be doing a fun MTB ride on the Tijeras Creek Loop. Meet at the Santa Margarita Water District (26111 Antonio Pkwy, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688) and be ready to ride by 8:00 AM. This is an advance beginner group pace for about 16 miles and 1,200 feet climb. RIDE INFO: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time and come prepared with your appropriate bike, helmet, gloves, a minimum of 70 oz. of water, lots of calories, spare tube, pump, and appropriate biking clothes. We do not ride when weather conditions are unsafe. If the ride is cancelled, the calendar will be updated at least 1 hour prior to the ride start time with the word "CANCELLED". Route: Tijeras Creek Loop https://www.strava.com/activities/156419462 Distance: 16.5 miles Elevation: 1,200 feet The Tijeras Creek route essentially sends you around the perimeter of the city of Rancho Santa Margarita while exposing you to varying scenery and trail types. The route parallels Tijeras Creek then sends you East into the hills that separate Rancho Santa Margarita and Coto De Caza. The final leg of the loop reenters you into the other end of Trabuco Arroyo Wilderness after a brief street stint through Rancho Santa Margarita.
